A: Yes! These techniques are designed to help improve your concentration, help you learn to relax, and to assist in quieting the constant chatter or “monkey mind” that so many struggle with.
A: Meditation can help improve your health in many ways: by strengthening your immune system; your blood pressure can potentially be lowered through meditation as your body's need for oxygen is reduced, and your heart doesn't have to work as hard helping to normalize your blood pressure; chronic pain and stress maybe reduced through increasing the body's natural pain control chemicals such as serotonin and endorphins reducing cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
A: No. Many people find the practice and philosophy of mindfulness and meditation to actually enhance their spirituality. People of all religious backgrounds can benefit from relaxation and increased self-awareness.

A: Mindfulness and meditation aren't so much about learning the ins and outs of spirituality; most simply meditation and self work are about developing strategies to cope with life as it comes at you. You aren't looking for all the answers, but instead realizing and working towards maintaining a more mindful holistic perspective no matter what is happening around you.
A: In the beginning, a few minutes a day of true present moment awareness will help to develop your ability to work up to longer sessions. Like any practice, the more you practice the better you get at it.
A: In the morning is recommended. To start your day out centered and with a positive attitude and state of mind. But anytime during the day is better than not at all that day.
